How these numbers work
- Anonymous. Each browser sends only a 2-letter country code, once. No name, email, account, cookie or IP address is stored.
- One count per browser. The browser remembers locally that it has been counted. The total per country is the sum of these anonymous counts. Clearing browser data or using a second device can add another count, so treat it as an estimate.
- Self-reported region. The country comes from the browser’s language and time zone, or the region the learner chose. It is not verified.
- Small numbers are hidden. Countries with fewer than 5 students show “<5”.
- You’re in control. Browsers that send Do-Not-Track or Global Privacy Control are never counted.
