πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬ Singapore Math Olympiad (SMO) Guide

Singapore Mathematical Olympiad β€” Junior, Senior, and Open sections run by the Singapore Mathematical Society.

About SMO

The Singapore Mathematical Olympiad has three sections: Junior (Sec 1–2), Senior (Sec 3–4), Open (JC/Poly). Top performers are invited to training for the IMO team.

Exam Pattern

Study Plan

  1. Master Singapore O-level / IP maths first β€” speed matters.
  2. Study classic olympiad topics: number theory, combinatorics, inequalities, geometry.
  3. Solve past SMO papers under timed conditions.
  4. For Round 2: learn to write clear proofs.
